Glass & Stone Pottery Online Store Fused Glass Ring Mold

Fused Glass Ring Mold

from $90.00

Each of these molds is hand-made by our artisans to a detailed product specification. They’re used by glass artists to create consistent rings out of glass frit, murrine, or other glass pieces in a kiln. As they’re hand-made, some variation is to be expected.

Available in two sizes with six channels each. The channels of the 10” molds are wider with a flatter bottom profile than the channels of the 8” molds, making for thicker rings as well as being slightly larger in diameter.

All our glass molds include free shipping throughout the United States. International orders can be placed by selecting the Local Pickup shipping option; email us your order confirmation with your shipping address and we’ll invoice you for the added shipping fees. Please do feel free to contact us for a rate quote before placing your order.

9” Molds (Limited Offer)

We have strict specifications on our mold production - including limits on how big or small a mold can be while still calling it and “8 inch” or “10 inch” mold. Sometimes, a mold comes out of the kiln that’s perfectly acceptable in every respect - except it’s a little too big, or a little too small. We call those mold “9 inch”, and when enough of them pile up on the reject shelf, we offer them up.

They’re perfectly functional, just… not the right size. Most of them are “too big” 8” molds, a few of them are “too small” 10”, and either way, they’re lovely and wonderful just the way they are - just like all of us.

Instructions and Tutorial

This guide (CLICK TO DOWNLOAD) was created by original mold designer Laura (Smonkey) Reynolds to help get you started successfully creating art with your new ring mold. It contains a lot of helpful tips and instructions, and is worth reading even if you’re very experienced with creating glass art using molds; our molds have some unique characteristics that make them different from the slipcast or bisqueware molds you may have used before.

Shipping Policy

Over 95% of our packages arrive intact, but in the event you receive a damaged mold, please contact us immediately via email to info@glassandstone.art. Include your order number and a photo of the damage, including obvious damage to the shipping materials, and we will replace the damaged mold promptly.
